List of Irish Web Directories

Post first published 14/12/2007 - last up dated 25/02/09 - page rank changes quite often so can be diferent from I have listed below.

Here is a list of Irish web directories I use a few of them quite often. There are bound to be more web directories in Ireland, so if you know of any drop me a line and I will add it.

There is a new Irish article directory, this will help your ranking activities also, they also take press releases and if you publish a newsletter you can add it there also.

Irelands Directory PR 4 – Three different types of listing 1 without any link, 2 reciprocal, 3 paid, however they do not state on the site how much a paid listing is but rather email you once you have submitted your details, a bit annoying. Clean links.

Browse Ireland PR6 – Two different types of listing 1 Premium at a cost of €29 per year. For this you get top of page listing and a clean SEO listing. 2. Free link using a redirect – useless as a link to help in SERP’s - however it is a high traficed directory so get listed.

Ireland Local PR6 – associated with Browse Ireland (above), not even a submit form one this site, really should not consider it as separate directory – again redirect links anyway.

WhatsWhat – PR4 – Three different listings, free no web link, €100 & €200 per year. Good clean links from a directory that is 7 years old and gets lots of traffic. Well worth the money.

Irish Blogs PR6 - Don’t know if this should be here – not a directory but a feed reader for Irish blogs – anyway if you have an Irish blog you would be missing out on a great opportunity not to be listed here – so get over there and add your rss url.

Irish Blog Directory PR4 Free – not a clean link.

IT Directory – directory aimed at IT sector – PR 4 – Free – Not a clean link. They seem to be in the middle of changing the url and the site is currently broken – 25/02/09

Travel Directory Ireland – PR0 – Various pricing appears to aimed at hotel, B&B market – not a clean link. PageRank greyed out – frames.

Irish Blogs PR5 – Free, free & reciprocal, paid at €5 – all good clean links.

Planet Journal Another feed reader PR0 – they seem to have lost their PR– get over here and add your reader now.

Find it Ireland PR4 Free, free & reciprocal – not a clean link.

Holistic Directory PR4 – free for six months then paid, but does not say how much. Reciprocal links only and only www.mysite.com type link.

Discover Ireland.net PR5 - only paid listing €29.95 and €59.95 – clean links. From an SEO perspective the €30 is a bargain.

Directory Direct PR2 - only paid listing $14.15 and $24.25 – this site has lost a lot of PR, down from 4 to 2.

City Local PR3 – only get link if pay and then not a clean links – aimed more at being a Yellow Pages type of site.

Child Care Directory PR5 – Paid and free but do not list cost on site or say what you get for the free listing.

Cork Directory PR4 – No details on site how to add a link.

Broswe.ie PR3 Paid and free listing paid €10 per month or €100 per year for top of category. Good clean links.

Loadzalinks PR3 paid, and reciprocal, (reciprocal not working today), but mad not to pay for the €2 or €20, this is a bargain. Clean links.

Mayo Online PR2 – free – have to email details to them. Clean links & Free

Gimmedat.ie PR3 Free and good clean links.

Niceone.ie PR4 Free. Clean links.

Web Search Ireland – PR5 - Free – Clean links – just a short note on this site. This is a new site and has a fast turnaround on submissions and has good clean links, this will become popular so get there now while it is not busy and still completely free – no I have nothing to do with this site and don’t even know who owns it, but I have submitted to it.

Search.ie PR5 Free and Paid at $200 per year - clean links

Armchair PR4 - Free - Clean links.

http://www.sitefind.ie PR2 – clean links and free.

http://www.simplythebest.ie PR4 – clean links – all paid €29 & €59

http://www.thedirectory-ireland.com PR3 clean links and free

http://www.linkireland.com – horrible redirects – waste of time for SEO

http://www.bookmarks.ie – PR1 – getting spammed a bit, but worth using.

http://www.ilist.ie/ PR2 – one to watch, at present it takes too long to load, hopefully they will resolve.

So that is for now. All mistakes are mine, please point them out to me and I will correct.

A very useful list of Irish web directories.

Also Mayo Online is free to submit to but your website has to be related to County Mayo.

The big question is who are the best industry related directories. The general Irish directories are starting to look more and more like MFAs unfortunately..

Just so you know.

The submission form on armchair.ie is working again.

I’ve also made a minor change with search.ie. You now need to signup as a member to submit links. I was getting a silly amount of Russian spam links every single day, so with the new setup I’ll be able to review new submissions faster - and of course it’s still free

http://www.bookmarks.ie is a Irish Social Bookmarking website, it’s also a good place to add your website. Users can add tags to describe the website.
